This is an overview of Sales and Use Tax Laws, including recent law changes, geared towards City and County Officials. We will break down the components of the sales and use tax collected and show you where that money goes. We will discuss the difference between sales and use tax. We will also go over some examples of transactions to determine which city or county will receive the local taxes collected.
