Marcelle Voorhies Rossman is the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the San Diego City Employees’ Retirement System (SDCERS) providing defined benefit retirement services to employees of the City of San Diego, the San Diego Unified Port District, and the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority.  Her areas of responsibility include the Finance, Member Services, Benefits Administration, and Death and Disability Divisions.  Previously she was the Deputy Director over Payroll and Accounts Payable at the City of San Diego.  Marcelle’s career started in banking at Great American Bank and then included time as an auditor specializing in governmental and not-for–profit clients. She holds a Certified Public Accountant license, is a Chartered Global Management Accountant, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and a member of the California Society of CPAs.  Marcelle is a member of the United Way of San Diego Women United, a former board member (Sustainer) of the Junior League of San Diego, and Treasurer for the San Diego Chapter of the American Truck Historical Society.  Marcelle has a Bachelor of Science in Applied Arts and Sciences, Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from San Diego State University.
