Kent Morris has over 20 years of professional experience in the areas of investments and treasury management.  Mr. Morris holds a Bachelors of Science from University of California, Davis and a Masters of Business Administration from California State University, San Diego.  He has worked in the City’s Investments Division for over 17 years and currently oversees the Division as the Chief Investment Officer, whose responsibilities include managing the City Treasurer’s Investment Pool which, as of July 31, 2019 was valued at approximately $2.1 Billion.  As Chief Investment Officer, Mr. Morris is the primary interface with the City Treasurer’s Investment Advisory Committee and for the formulation of the City’s investment strategy and credit review.  In addition, he manages the City’s banking relationships and oversees the implementation of all the City’s new banking services and its PCI Compliance status.
